Dinner Book Club, Issue #3

The latest issue of Dinner Book Club is making its way into the world. I’m really excited about this issue for two reasons. 1), the books… obviously. And 2), we have coasters!!

I was relaxing in my favorite chair, reading the latest DBC selection, when I reached for my drink and realized it was leaving a wet ring on my side table. Not cool. What if I didn’t see the ring and set my book on top of it? Icky. That’s when it occured to me to commission DBC coasters. Who doesn’t love an iced beverage with a dry book? :)

These fun fellows are going out with Issue 03 of Dinner Book Club. Let me know if you want a copy of DBC #3 and I’ll send you a fun coaster.

Now, about the books… We read Swamplandia, Remarkably Bright Creatures, Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books, and The Most Beautiful. This issue also includes a recipe I picked up in Japan. Taco Rice!! The perfect blend of Tex-Mex and Japanese, it’s a delicious (but easy!) weeknight dish.
